Written by Dr. John E. Russell Sr

The Supreme Court ruled that government schools cannot teach any religion to our children. Promptly, most recognized religions were kicked out of our schools to "protect" the impressionable minds of our youth. See http://www.oyez.org/cases/1940-1949/1947/1947_90 This was a misinterpretation of the First Amendment:

AMENDMENT I.

[The first ten Amendments (Bill of Rights) were ratified effective December 15, 1791.]

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Secularism became the new religion. Apparently, no one recognized that Secular Humanism was a religion. That is, no one but the Supreme Court. (Torcaso v. Watkins, 367 U S 488 [1961]). So, the United States Supreme Court disestablished Christianity and established Secular Humanism as the new state religion!

Since Congress allowed this judicial legislation by default, it should now reinstitute the original nonsectarian religion upon which the United States was founded: Christianity.

Since government schools are prohibited from teaching any religion, Secular Humanism should be purged from all curricula. However, there is a slight problem. What educational philosophy will be chosen? Every philosophy must have a basis, a starting point. The starting point is in the realm of metaphysics, which is in the realm of the religious. However, no religion can be taught in public schools. Therefore, according to Supreme Court logic, government schools must be shut down.

The Supreme Court has declared that no religion can be taught in government schools. Since each curriculum has an inherent metaphysics from which flows an epistemology and an axiology, nothing can be taught in government schools.

And we have a good start on teaching nothing.
