The "Abortion Rights" Myth PDF Print E-mail

Pray for Our Misguided Leaders

But I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because Jesus said, "If you receive a little child, you receive me." So every abortion is the denial of receiving Jesus, the neglect of receiving Jesus. It is a war against the child, a direct killing of the innocent child, murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another? …. Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love one another but to use any violence to get what they want. —Mother Teresa

The late Mother Teresa of Calcutta, India made the above statement while delivering the keynote address at The National Prayer Breakfast February 3, 1994 in Washington, DC. At the head table were President and Mrs. Bill Clinton and Vice President and Mrs. Al Gore. More than criticism, our former President and Vice President need our prayers.

A Beautiful Bureaucrat and Bountiful Babies

During one abortion debate, a woman in the audience angrily told me I was obviously so middleclass that I didn't have a clue as to the conditions that poor black women face. "If you realized what these women were going through, you would realize that abortion is their only choice."

I asked that woman to consider a poor black woman on welfare. She already has four kids and an alcoholic husband who has all but abandoned the family. Now she discovers that another child is on the way. "How would you counsel that woman?" I asked.

Without hesitation, she answered, "The most compassionate thing that woman could do for herself and the children she already has, is to have an abortion. If brought into this world, that child would have a very poor quality of life." "I have a vested interest in your answer to that question," I responded. "That woman I described was my mother. I was the fifth of six children born into poverty. And in case you're interested, the quality of my life is just fine!" [Kay Coles James, Never Forget (Grand Rapids: Zondervan Publishing House, 1992), p. 177].

The above "fifth of six children born into poverty" was none other than the feisty, but sweet-spirited Kay Coles James. She overcame the odds of being born in a poor, dysfunctional black family. She escaped the Black Rage trap by choosing not to become a victim. Instead she became a survivor and an overcomer.

She is married to Charles James and has three children. She fights to empower family and community rather than bureaucrats.

With the help of God and some caring people, she has established herself as a successful role model for black, brown, red, yellow and white people.

She served as the Associate Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy; as Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services; as Secretary of the Virginia Health and Human Services; and as head of the School of Government at Regent University. She now serves as the director of the US Office of Personnel Management. Yet feminists would have chosen to kill (abort) her.

Why did Faye Wattleton, formidable spokesperson for Planned Parenthood, refuse to debate her? (James, Never Forget, 161). Answer: Abortion is irrational and immoral! Kay James is a living example who refutes wicked abortion.

King David Speaks As the Oracles of God

Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a real blessing. The sons a man has when he is young are like arrows in a soldier's hand. Happy is the man who many such arrows. He will never be defeated when he meets his enemies in the place of judgment.
Psalm 127:3-5, Today's English Version

A Mother's Advice to A King

Speak up for people who cannot speak for themselves. Protect the rights of all who are helpless.
Proverb 31:8, Today's English Version

Government leaders have not protected the rights of the helpless. FIfty-seven million innocent and helpless human beings have died as a result! They 1) have disobeyed God and 2) violated the United States Constitution!

Some citizens have taken the law into their own hands and killed people in the abortion business. These people have entered the "pro-choice" camp by their actions. Abortionists and those who murder abortionists are both pro-death.

The proper way to stop abortion on demand is to convince people that it is wrong. Roe v. Wade must be reversed!
